DIRECTION PROCESSING:
1. Shampoo and rinse hair thoroughly. Towel dry, leaving hair damp.
2. Part hair into four to five sections, as determined by the client's hair thickness.
3. Wear protective gloves.
4. Apply PERM LOTION 1 to one section at a time, using the back of a comb, a hair coloring brush, or fingers. Use a tail comb to part hair and begin the application of PERM LOTION 1 to the hair nearest the scalp, preferably starting at the nape area.
5. Comb the cream through the entire head, first with a wide-tooth comb, then with a smaller-tooth comb.
6. When the hair becomes supple and flexible (about 30-40 minutes), rinse with tepid water and towel dry. Do not tangle the hair.
NEUTRALIZING:
7. Divide the hair into eight sections. Subsection as you wrap the hair.
8. Wrap hair as desired on curling rods. In order to rearrange the curl pattern of the hair, the rod selected must be at least two times larger than the natural curl. In order to achieve a good curl formation, the hair should encircle the rod at least2 1/2 times.
9. After the wrap has been completed, protect the client's skin by placing cot ton ar ound the hairline and neck.
10. Apply PERM LOTION 2 to all the curls until they are thor oughly saturated. Replace saturated cotton.
11. Cover the client' S head with a plastic cap.
12. Have the client sit under a pre-heated dryer for 15 to 25 minutes, accor ding to the client's hair condition.
13. Take a test curl, and if the desired curl pat tern has not developed, have the client sit under the dryer for another 10 minutes or until a curl pat tern develops.
14. When the desired curl pat tern has been reached, rinse the hair thoroughly with warm (not hot) water. Blot each curl with a towel.
15. Carefully remove rods and apply balance of PERM LOTION 2 to the hair. Work neutralizer thr ough with fingers for thorough distribution, and allow it to remain on the hair for another 5 minutes.
16. Rinse hair thor oughly with warm water, then cool water, and towel blot.
17. Trim uneven hair ends.
